  1. Here is my latest on this. http://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2018/02/27/european-model-opens-door-lets-snow-enter-equation/
  2. Its the Pacific ridge that is the issue https://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2018/02/09/gulf-alaska-high-just-wont-go-away-long-range/
  3. NAO AND EPO go negative early next week and the PNA tries to go from negative to neutral but it may not be enough. Meanwhile in the long range..we got to get that PNA to strengthen,,the EPO is in a good place for winter cold and snow. https://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2018/01/23/long-range-indices-remain-in-flux/
  4. Looks to me like a second act is coming for winter after a short intermission! http://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2018/01/22/weather-models-winter-pattern-flips-back-long-range/
  5. http://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2017/12/05/snow-threats-frigid-cold-long-range/ Weather pattern very dynamic longer term
  6. Models attempting to zero in on the weekend rather than the flat wave on the front for Friday. http://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2017/12/04/snow-possibilities-winter-pattern-developing/
  7. Today's models coming together with what looks like 2 separate events. The energy in the midwest does not seem to get involved with the wave along the East coast for Friday. European leaves room for Saturday night Sunday morning with the upper trough. These things are never simple. http://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2017/12/02/weather-models-cold-active-long-range/
  8. Of course it's never easy. Is there going to be a shortwave like the European has that rotates out of the base of the jet and cause complications late next week? European today like the GFS yesterday. http://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2017/12/01/weather-models-winter-pattern-developing-has-forecast-challenges/
  9. Models have been hinting at wave action the last few days. GFS picked up on it today. Euro more fractured but the idea is not impossible. http://www.meteorologistjoecioffi.com/index.php/2017/11/30/winter-pattern-change-becomes-complicated/
  10. great to hear thank you. Cigars are always a plus!
