Because it’s never to early and seasonal models look exciting. Weak nino’s typically treat us well. Can’t wait

Thank you for starting this thread. I was just thinking is it to early to start a thread?

Here we go, JB showing a Modoki El Nino, SST temp's comparative to 14-15, 63-64, 68-69, 76-77 comes up as well. Very good winters.

Solar is heading down the tubes to the grand solar minimum in the next solar cycle 25. It's implication plus with the volcanic activity looks to make this an interesting set up iMO.

if we get a weak to moderate el nino this year my analogs would start with 1963-64, 1968-69, 1976-77, 1986-87, 2006-07, 2014-15...if it's a near neutral the analogs would be 2001-02, 2012-13, 2013-14...if it becomes a la nina again the analogs would be 1984-85, 1967-68, 2017-18...on average the six el nino years averaged below normal...snowfall was normal by todays standards...31"...biggest snow average was just below 10"...the three neutral years averaged 29.0"...temps averaged above normal...biggest snow averaged 9"...the la nina years temps averaged near normal...snowfall 28"...biggest snow 7.4"...the only two years for all the analogs that were duds were 2001-02 and 2006-07...very good winters were 1963-64, 1968-69, 2014-15, 2013-14, 2017-18...the mediocre ones were 1976-77, 1986-87, 2012-13, 1984-85, 1967-68...all 12 analogs averaged just under 30"...I'm on another snowy winter train until further noticed...

since last year was a la nina winter here is a list of winters that followed a la nina winter...note...1962-63 and 1966-67, 1967-68 were weak la nina years before being downgraded to neg neutral...2005-06 was a neg neutral before being upgraded to an el nino...

Haha

A blizzard this month would be good for the soul. It’s been too long without winter weather

@Snowman11 has tweeted had him to post here.  He also said that his father is really into it.

could you freakin imagine mike trout posting here?!?  that would be fantastic.  and for a guy to be that passionate about snow while living in Millville... that's like getting beaned in the head 10 times a year in the majors and still loving to hit.

I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility. WE will hit him hard on social and get it done this year.
