@wxmd529looks like those hi-res models were correct on the higher snow amounts for N Nassau and NYC. I busted badly on my 1” and flip to IP/RA.  Amazing storm for so early in season. I hope we bust like this on future storms this winter.

Currently 30 degrees with heavy sleet at my location, if that back end CCB thump brings a period of heavy snow, travel will be pretty wicked in the morning hours across the region. I am tapped out and off to bed. This has been one hell of a ride for this site today and there should be many more to come. Hopefully everyone stays safe and gets some good rest this weekend, because the next signal is only 10 days out.

There was a camel stuck in the road near Philly.

So there is also that for this storms legacy...

The city is a disaster folks. It’s a serious situation and I’m afraid some crazy stories will be coming out. Port Authority just closed at 5:15 due to overcrowding. GWB shut down. All westbound lanes of LIE closed at Queens Midtown Tunnel.

It is wild out here. Cars stuck, buses shutdown. A complete standstill.

I have 2 friends that are legitimately stranded in non moving traffic one on bonnie burn rd in watchung and another at the 24/78 interchange in summit

yeah I saw posts of people trying to get from summit to westfield and taking 4+ hours. Anywhere there's alot of hills is particularly bad
