January 18-19, 2020 -- Thump to Mix Obs/Photos/Discussion

Recommended Posts

I'm back to S+, temp 27°f, dewpoint holding at 20°. I think this may be the thump before the sleet.

Yep - someone's going to be wrong - let's hope it's Mt. Holly!

Those heavy echoes in sw PA are making a bee line from about MC up to Poughkeepsie. Models are very dry in those area. .2-.4QPF. We’ll see.

Just took a quick walk - gorgeous out there with moderate (not quite heavy) snow and 1/4" down; guessing another 1/4" before this band ends - nice!

one can hope that the higher dewpoints by the coast will keep that band going

Moderate snow just started again here. 27/19.  Starting to lay on untreated roads again.  This is why I prefer January-early Feb snows, you don’t have to fight the sun.

All about that band so far. as Soon as it moves through the flow takes its cur from the surface high now off the NJ coast. Westerly winds before and during, turning se thereafter
