Amped it’s a 1008 mb low we don’t really have the cold air especially 95 SE.

Amped up doesn't mean how strong the storm is

Incorrect

There's plenty of cold air, as the center makes its way N the Euro has the coastal front come to I95 and to about Asbury.

But you don't look at the end of the storm 2m 6 days away.

Does this look like there's no cold air ?

Now is the time to go rent a house anywhere from Pulaski to Oswego ( pick favorite LES ) town on a NW flow and watch 5 feet of snow fall between Jan 15 - Jan 30.

The lakes will have an insane 2 to 3 week period because the flow will be reinforced every few days.

only 5?  I was thinking more along the lines of 100+ inches

I wouldn't be shocked if 10 fell, seriously.

@wdrag In regards to an all snow event I agree that there's prob some rain/mixing for a time along I-95.

The EPS has hinted that the axis would run along 84.

Not 95.

So I used that and the pattern to negate that OTS scenario the models saw.

I can't see the timing of any R/S line yet tho.

I like the blocking present and just need something to pinch in at 50 to compress my midlevels.

But I agree the 12th remains right on schedule

Let's make this a good day and hope this pattern becomes productive for us up here in the northeast the rest of January.
