Is a west based or east based -NAO block good for Nova Scotia Canada?

I wouldn't think any neg nao would be good for ns. I would think they'd be suppressive. If anything, west based would be better, because that could allow storms to come far enough north and leave a cold air source avail. An east based neg nao practically is a ridge in your backyard.
