Busts happen everywhere. There are some pissed off snow weenies this morning.

Yep. The south trend continues on all the models. @Huskerbaw might get 3-5 out of this now. Horrible trend for MSP

Ord may finally get measurable snow out of this system tomorrow. Last measurable snowfall in Chicago was back in 2016

I don't see a single report of snow falling out of MSP.

From tornadoes in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa and Kansas to wildfires in Kansas, Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma, the plains can't catch a break.

We've lucked out here in Nebraska. Thing is this time of year you have a good deal of dead veg and it doesn't take much for it to light up combine that with dry and and winds and you get fast moving prairie fires. 

 

These used to occur almost yearly before people started to settle on the plains but with fire control the vanished. Lack of fires is why invasive species such as the eastern red cedar are so prolific

Awesome low clouds over Nebraska this morning on preliminary GOES-16 imagery. Watching severe threat late in the week too across the southern plains. Check out the severe thread on that
