Solid 10" or so in Deerfield, IL(about 20 miles north of Chicago) from last weekend's storm with around 3-4" the weekend before.  Overall pattern appears to be ripe for some significant cold shots with some storms as well into early/mid February for the Central US.  While December was truly depressing for a fan of winter, it certainly seems as though the overall pattern has changed significantly......woke up to 3 degrees this morning with a wind chill of -12.  High on Friday is a whopping 5 degrees......just starting to have some fun here!
