Welp. If there's one thing that I was worried about coming into the season, it was the middle/setup relief. The Sox were projected to have one of the better bullpens in baseball (via WAR), but a good chunk of that comes from Kimbrel. I'm still not sold on Kelly and he pretty much blew it. Carson shouldn't have had to come into that situation. It would be nice if he can get back to 2015 form, but I'm not expecting too much given how much time he missed in 2016-17. Barnes could take a step forward if he can cut down on the walks.

5-4 Rays.

Hard to believe there was a time where Pujols had a shot at Barry's record. Father Time is not kind. I hope Albert has at least one more good year in him, it was painful to watch him struggle last year.

Matt Davidson hit 3 home runs.

To be fair, he hasn't stopped Jamie Moyer and Julio Franco from playing for 200 years.

St. Louis made the correct decision on him years ago. It’s those decisions  that make them a great organization.

Houston looks unbelievable to start!

Would be a great series! I don’t think the Yankees bats will go silent in Houston this go around.

3rd straight game with a home run for Ohtani. But hey, he's a bust because he struggled in Spring Training.

Ohtani's 2nd start was just electric. 12 K's in 7 innings and he didn't allow a baserunner until the 7th.

A lot of season left to go, but man it's hard not to get excited after his first week or so. The prospect of an actual two-way player is just awesome.

Really cool to see. Something that hasn’t been done in so long.

So how much money does Harper get in FA?

It was a perfect game until he walked a batter.
